MIRA Events + Design Debuts in Ceremony Magazine!

Making the decision to rebrand was a no-brainer. Making the decision on when to pull the trigger for such a project was a completely different story. There was always an excuse “I don’t have the time right now”, “Its so much work”, or the all important “I don’t want to spend all that money!”.

When Ceremony Magazine, the forefront publication for contemporary wedding design, came calling in search of wedding planners for its Great List, I went from a skeptical tightwad to puddy in their hands. This is the same publication that broke us into the world of magazine print when they included our Scarlet Beauty table as a trendsetting design in last year’s publication. Within minutes, I had not only decided to accept their invitation to be a featured planner, but to finally take the plunge and launch my new company brand with the new issue.

This phone call occurred sometime in early October. The issue would be released after the New Year, just 2 short months away. I immediately got to work. First, the logo. I entrusted my last logo to the incredibly talented and oh so sweet Karla The Card Lady. I knew she would be the best person to transform the trusty old DAED logo into a new and stylish logo that would spearhead the new logo into the next leg of our company journey. I was not disappointed! Once we had a logo, I called up Amy of Weiher Creative, who had been dealing with my commitment phobia of rebranding for about 2 years. I ensured her I was REALLY ready this time, and she graciously took on my project within my desired timeframe. Her work, along with the WordPress Guru that is Jennifer De La Fuente, proved to be spectacular beyond expectation. I highly recommend these ladies for your next website project. After countless hours of account name and information switch-over, I was more or less ready for the new launch.

Seeing the magazine for the first time was so surreal. I was listed among some of my greatest mentors in the industry, my advice in the Grand Ideas section right along with theirs. My gorgeous new ad stood out as the exact reflection I had envisioned for my new company. One of my gorgeous couples from 2013 were also picked up as a featured “Wedding of Distinction”.

Words cannot describe how honored I am as a professional, and we are as a company, to be given this opportunity. I am so proud of what we have accomplished and cannot to share more updates in 2014!
