This is finally happening. Finally. I can shout this gloriousness from the roof tops.
After not one, but TWO features in major wedding publications, this vibrant labor of love is finally ready for me to share.
Back in April of 2013, I was asked by colleague Chyna Darner of Chyna Darner Photography if I was interested in partnering up for another styled shoot. Having had a great experience with her working on The Admiral’s Daughter shoot, I was immediately intrigued. After one meeting with the other vendors involved on the project, including the immensely talented Karl Ko Photography, the innovative Grover Films, and fabulous team at Beauty Mark Ink, I dreamed of nothing but saris and garland for the next two months.
The idea was to take the concept of an Indian fusion wedding, which is very common here in the Bay Area, and approach it from a different angle. Specifically, a Western angle. Since none of the vendors involved were native to Indian or South Asian weddings, we would rely on our working knowledge of this sect of the industry, and bring our “western” ideas into this magical and colorful world laden with steep traditions.
After recruiting the floral genius Susan Kelly of Three Sisters Flowers & Events, our creative team worked long and hard to produce this gorgeous scene at the picturesque Mountain Winery in Saratoga.
This shoot is a gorgeous example of teamwork and creativeness in its purest forms. Enjoy!
