Venue Of The Month – Warehouse 215

Warehouse 215 is a converted art gallery in the heart of the downtown Phoenix warehouse district. For the southwestern client, this venue is the perfect something different from the typical mountainous backdrop scene. Its industrial charm, exposed brick walls, and architectural beams make it a perfect indoor venue for any occasion.

The venue was easy to find, conveniently just south of downtown with very easy access to both I-17 and I-10. There is plenty of parking both in their dedicated lot as well along the streets and the venue entrance is very easy to find.

Guests enter through the patio, which boasts multiple alcoves for a dynamic space. There is a certain artistic flair to the area, even though only a couple of statues are permanent space. The impressive main entrance into the venue itself is through large, industrial rust metal doors, which lead guests into a small foyer perfect for a welcome table, gift table, or greeter of some sort.

Warehouse 215 offer a generous 4 hours of set-up time (we LOVE that) as well as  5 hours of event time and 1 hour of tear down time in all of their standard event packages. As the venue is indoors, clients have great flexibility with the start and end time of their events- events can end as late at midnight!

The first large open space you will encounter is Bay 2- the space most popular for ceremonies. The layout is encouraging for many different types of ceremony set-ups but circular ceremony seating looks especially great in this space! Clients can choose between a white wall backdrop, brick wall backdrop, or window backdrop and the venue rental includes black resin folding chairs are included.

After your urban chic ceremony, your guests will make their way throug the front foyer into the patio that they entered from for an indoor/outdoor cocktail hour. This super cute area does not need much embellishment as Warehouse 215 includes 6 cocktail tables and landscaped lighting for ambiance. For smaller events, this area could host up to 85 people for a ceremony.

One of the absolute COOLEST things about Warehouse 215 is their built in photobooth backdrop! You read that right- a venue that literally comes with its own photobooth backdrop. The gorgeous brick wall facade is easily decorated and the venue provides some props for your guests to selfie the night away!  In addition, Warehouse 215 also has a self-serve camera/printing station as an optional upgrade.

Speaking of upgrades, the venue is easily able to upgrade your rental to include those luxurious details we all love. Ivory linens are available as an upgrade to the included black poly cotton ones. A large chandelier is available for the ceremony space, there are 10 uplights available as well as bistro lights to string across the ceiling.

When its time for the reception, Bay 3 is the place to be! Three beautiful chandeliers hang down the middle of the event space, included in all rental packages. The venue has a select number of round tables for seating as well as rectangular tables for vendors or stations, however you are welcome to bring in any rentals you wish (AND you have the time to do it with that glorious 4 hour load in window!) Oh, and for the minimalist client, non-floral centerpieces are included in all rental packages.

Warehouse 215 can hold up to 300 people in one bay, but the space is zoned to hold up to 1,200 people making it a great option for larger events such as formals and proms. All three rental spaces (and security) are included in rental fee.

Warehouse 215 has a liquor license, so your alcohol service is hassle free as they take care of the purchasing and the bartenders. They also have partnered with 5 exclusive catering companies to ensure exceptional service within this unique space.

What I love about Warehouse 215 is that it is a blank space for clients to do whatever they want. There is a lot of flexibility both layout wise and design wise, which makes this an ideal location for both the traditional and a-typical client. I really love the potential of the space, and even if a client came into the space without budget to invest in a robust design scheme. You can still have a beautiful event because minimalism works here.

For the lighting or technology enthusiast, Warehouse 215 is a dream venue with almost limitless possibilities for lighting design or technology integration.

Brides and grooms are able to get ready onsite with blocked off/semi-private restroom and changing areas.

Warehouse 215 offers a 2 week complimentary hold for clients who are interested in booking the venue but need a little time to make their decision. Their staff is extremely knowledgeable and work closely with the owners to evolve and maintain the venue’s accessibility and general awesomeness.

Chandana + Imran Part 3 – Luxury City Indian Wedding Reception

The time has come Dreamers! It is finally time to unveil the incredible romance, glamour, and straight-up WOW that was Chandana and Imran’s luxury Indian wedding reception.

After the whimsical backyard soiree the night before and the romantic, vintage inspired ceremony earlier in the day, it was time to treat the guests to something decidedly more formal and opulent.

City View at Metreon was a perfect choice in venue to cap off a whirlwind weekend. It’s central location gave out of town guests a great glimpse of the energy of San Francisco. The industrial, dynamic space gave the perfect setting for a reception that was both elegant and modern, once again blending realms to create something truly unique.

We started with a color scheme fit for royalty. We started with a rich aubergine purple and a regal, warm gold. From there we livened up the palette with magenta and select touches of ivory. The floral goddess known as Natasha from Water Lily Pond did an impeccable job taking the foundation of our design vision and taking it over the top. My jaw about hit the floor when I saw the WLP team raising  the floral chandelier into the air. Complete with orchids, branches, and dripping crystals this chandy was any romantic’s dream come true.

The mix of round and long guest tables were glittering with fine details, such as gold hobnail chargers from Stuart Rentals and the righteously designed table numbers from Throne Invitations. After guests had enjoyed an extended cocktail hour on the terrace, complete with a live string quartet and open air photobooth, they enjoyed a full reception experience complete with heart warming speeches and performances as well as an amazing buffet spread by Amber India Restaurant.

Guests dined and danced the night away amidst the twinkle of the San Francisco city lights. There abundance of luxury was only surpassed by the abundance of love.

Thank you to ALL of the vendors involved in this incredible event. Thank you to the Batchu and Haque families to entrusting this most auspicious occasion to our team, and for making such wonderful children who we are blessed to call MIRA family.

Until the next grand adventure, Dreamers!

Chandana + Imran Part 1

We love our clients. All of them. We adore each and every event that crosses our path. Every once in a while, we get to be a part of something just a little extra special. How so? Let’s check the numbers:

  • 3: The number of days this wedding spectacular spanned
  • 6: The number of different wedding related events that occurred in that time-frame
  • 5: Number of venues we worked at over the course of this weekend
  • 27: Number of vendors hired for all events
  • 1,000: Linear feet of marigolds used throughout the design
  • 9: Number of outfits worn by the bride

The result of these numbers, combined with the incredible amounts of time and energy spent by all invested parties, was SO spectacular, we couldn’t fit it all in one blog post.

Let’s start in the beginning…

Chandana and Imran come from two very different backgrounds. Chandana’s family are Hindu South Indian, and Imran’s family hails from Bengladesh. Together, they wanted to create a fusion wedding experience that would honor both of their cultures while allowing guests to bask in free-flowing opulence.

After a “low key” Mehendi on Friday evening, guests were invited to the first “party” of the weekend on Saturday afternoon. The groom’s parent’s house was decked to the nines to celebrate not just one but two important cultural events.

First, the Gaye Holud ceremony and rituals took place. After a short ceremony, 350 of the couple’s closest friends and family lined up for over an hour to paint the couple in yellow turmeric and feed them sweets.

For this event, we wanted to honor the traditional colors of the Holud by integrating lots of yellow with warm orange and red tones. Since the event was being held in the groom’s parent’s backyard, there was an inclination to pull a certain whimsical flair out with the design. We accomplished this by creating distinct vignettes with paper lanterns and marigold garlands all over the backyard. For the stage, we erected a four post mandap-type structure draped with an old saree, marigold garlands, and you guessed it- more paper lanterns. The effect was fun, whimsical, a touch of rustic, and most importantly, bright.

The amazing Chef Ranjan of New Delhi Restaurant  did an excellent job preparing a delicious traditional and fusion menu for guests to enjoy. Eclectic seating options and a sprawling floorplan allowed for guests to mingle naturally with each other before and after presenting their gifts and turmeric to the couple. MPSINGHPHOTOGRAPHY-0014 MPSINGHPHOTOGRAPHY-0016 MPSINGHPHOTOGRAPHY-0018 MPSINGHPHOTOGRAPHY-0019 MPSINGHPHOTOGRAPHY-0020 MPSINGHPHOTOGRAPHY-0021 MPSINGHPHOTOGRAPHY-0023 MPSINGHPHOTOGRAPHY-0028 MPSINGHPHOTOGRAPHY-0030 MPSINGHPHOTOGRAPHY-0033 MPSINGHPHOTOGRAPHY-0042

Later in the evening, guests were guided to the tennis court for the Sangeeth. which was lit like a rooftop club. With the SFO lights twinkling in the background, performers and guests alike danced their hearts out on a large LED dance floor provided by Gatsby Entertainment.

Hilton San Francisco Airport Bayfront Photo Shoot

This job comes with some pretty awesome opportunities!

This year we were asked to help The Hilton San Francisco Airport Bayfront in Burlingame with a large full production photo shoot for their stunning newly remodeled ballroom.

This ballroom is gorgeous on its own with two LED accent walls that can dramatically change the entire room with a flick of a switch.

The always-fabulous Ingela of Ingela Floral amazed us once again with purple and pink flowers with a touch of green accents.

Silver laquer chargers and raspberry napkins  from The Stuart Rental Company decorated the tables as well.

The Hilton’s chandeliers finished off the elegant atmosphere while adding a lot of class to the space.

We were able to work with Los Angeles based photographer Dylan Patrick of Dylan Patrick Photography.

Here is the end product of our fun and memorable day!
