The story of mira

Hi Everyone! Thank you for taking an interest in my company. My name is Miranda Meisenbach and I founded  miraWED, LLC  in Los Gatos, California in 2008. It was a fantastic time to start a business and we were immediately successful. Just kidding. It took years of hard work, dedication to the industry, and some of the best clients in the world to get us to the point we are at now. 

A brief overview of our journey… After dabbling in events for a few years, I decided that being around people on the happiest days of their lives was where I wanted to be. I immediately sought industry education through the highly reputable Association of Certified Professional Wedding Consultants, where I now am proud to wear the title of “Professional Wedding Consultant” (or “PWC”). From there I took a job as a coordinator with a local venue in Campbell, where I gained invaluable first-hand experience to a wide variety of wedding and special events. During this time, I also coordinated weddings and events for friends as well as small businesses in a variety of locations around the Bay Area. In 2011 I accepted two board of director positions: one for the Silicon Valley chapter of the National Association for Catering & Events and one for the Association of Certified Professional Wedding Consultants National Board. I served on both boards for 3 years, working closely with some of the top event professionals in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Expanding to new territory

The varied experiences I gained during those first 5 years help me build a company around doing what I enjoyed most—planning event experiences in unique and beautiful locations. What started as a Bay Area based business soon expanded to include Napa/Sonoma wine country, Carmel and the Central Coast, and ultimately the Lake Tahoe area… until finally in 2013 we rebranded ourselves as a California destination coordination and design company. 

A new home in Lake Tahoe

Life has a funny way of delivering what you want if you open your heart to the possibility of it happening. Since 2013 my heart has slowly but surely fallen in love with Tahoe, and I knew that one day I wanted to call it home. 

After many years of a life, love, and lessons I was finally able to make that dream a reality. In November 2018, thanks to the support of my family and the encouragement of my friends I was able to personally relocate to South Lake Tahoe. Being local has allowed me to strengthen our company’s expertise and reach in this incredibly gorgeous region.

Our team has continued to grow and evolve to serve our original market (and first love) of the greater Bay Area as well as this exciting new chapter in a place where we can truly shine.

We are grateful to be able to share such beautiful, diverse, soul enriching places with those who entrust us with their special event. 


Meet the team


Lead Planner & Creative Director


I am from Los Gatos but have lived all over California, spent some time in Arizona, and now reside full time in South Lake Tahoe. I have two kids, Aidan (12) and Avia (10), and a Chihuahua-Pomeranian named Chloe. I like to play ice hockey, snowboard, hike, and sing (often during the aforementioned hobbies) and I love a good drink with even better conversation. I’m a really fast talker and am known for going on tangents when I tell stories. Overall, I’m a pretty textbook Sagicorn and love to make people happy.



We believe in working hard, working fair, and most importantly, having fun. Our goal is to cultivate and manage a team of rockstar vendors that are work well together, are team players, and of course produce high quality results. Team work makes the dream work, and we love being a part of a winning team!

I am from San Jose CA, but now live in Citrus Heights CA with my husband, almost one year old son, and our two cats. I have been working alongside Miranda in this industry for over 10 years. Being a part of Team MIRA has been an amazing experience, and I am so excited for what our future holds. I love what the company stands for, and I Iove being able to help people out with the important events in their life!
